Bold, booming and buzzing. Launched in 1993, when digital ruled, the Novation® Bass Station dragged analogue grit back into the spotlight and became the rebel bass synth of the rave era.
Developed in collaboration with Novation®, this is that raw, punchy sound, faithfully recreated, then given polyphony, a modern sequencer, and X-Modifier depth.
Drag the fully scalable interface to any size, with a main Scope to monitor your master signal and a dedicated screen for the X-Modifier.
More than 300 production ready presets from Zardonic, Alex Jann, Jogging House, Polydata, Jordan Passmore, Dave Spiers and more, from edgy and modern to passionately classic.
Programmable velocity responses, Poly Aftertouch, pitch bend range, mod wheel and two Macros put the whole synth under your fingers.
Punchy, portable and affordable, the original became a fixture of professional studios, the burgeoning home studio culture and the rave scene of the 90s and 00s. Developed in collaboration with Novation and crafted from the ground up by GForce, this is the authentic 1993 Bass Station: the same oscillators, the classic 12dB and 24dB filters, and the original envelopes and LFO, recreated with the grit intact.
The unique 2 pole or 4 pole filter with screeching resonance delivers a sound as powerful and textured as the TB-303® it was built to rival. Where the original was mono, this one runs Mono, Mono Unison, Legato, Autoglide and Poly with up to 16 voices, from smooth rounded tones to biting, edgy leads.
The signal path gains a new waveform, a sub oscillator, FM, noise, LFO sync and retrigger, discrete key tracking for the 24dB filter, a high pass filter, pan spread and a Vintage knob. Every addition serves the original character rather than replacing it.
X-LFO and X-ADSR are pre-wired to almost every parameter, so there are no modulation paths to set up. Pick a control, apply an amount, and watch the sum of your modulation on the dedicated X-Modifier scope. Hugely complex, yet musical.
A built in arpeggiator with chords and scales, and a modern sequencer with individual step length, velocity, slide, swing, accent, probability, two Macro tracks and deep randomisation. The Macros can be sequenced too, which gets very creative.
Distortion with soft, hard, exponential and harmonic algorithms, an analogue style Chorus, a gorgeous analogue style Delay and a superb Reverb from small room to massive space.
