For me the Minimonsta is a wonderful time machine taking me back to playing with the Mahavishnu Orchestra or my group with Jeff Beck. But beyond that, with it's polyphony and 'Melohmagic' it outplays the Memorymoog, which was the foundation for my sound of Miami Vice. It's incredible.

I've owned Minimoogs from the early '70s through the late '90s. Of all the emulations of that instrument I have experienced, Minimonsta is clearly the most authentic.

GForce has done its homework very well and produced a software synthesizer that is almost indistinguishable from the hardware synth it emulates. The modulation flexibility added by the LFO/XADSR matrix and the Melohman functions brings it to a new level in software synthesizer performance.

The GForce suite of plug-ins (Minimonsta, OSCar & Oddity) are fatter than a ten dollar pork chop! They are very usable in a wide variety of styles of music.

Just wanted to say that Minimonsta is my absolute reference while making sounds for other people. Please forgive me if you find a few attempts at cloning Minimonsta sounds in several other synths!

The Minimonsta does a great job of blending the classic analogue sound with todays modern technologies but does not compromise the sound. It can be deep and quick at the same time.

Whether I go to the great presets or dial something in, I'm always confident I will get something close to what I want and it has a very transparent sound.

It also never crashes and seems to be very consistent when I turn it on. I love how the effects works and will always lock to beat clock, and that it is very easy to use.

To be honest I probably use Minimonsta, the most. The thing is on every record I make!

I have owned a minimoog for about 10 years, in which time it has become an important part of the Archive sound. I never had the minimoog midi converted so i was more than happy when i got the minimonsta.

My first impression was that of relief. The important thing about the minimoog is that it is RAW, no frills and always leaves an unforgetable mark on a tune (especially the bottom end ).

The minimonsta has definitely achieved this and a whole lot more. If you delve in to it as i have you can go to outer space, especially with the automation in logic.

There really are no limits to this software and you can really create you own sound rather than it always sounding like a minimoog.
